Date and Place of Trial 12th November 1849 in Dublin Description of Court Regimental Crime

1st Charge For having absented himself without leave when under orders to proceed from Dundalk to Dublin on the morning of the 7th November 1849 and remaining absent until brought in by Escort to Dublin on the 8th November 1849

2nd Charge For having at or about the period of his absence as stated in the first charge lost by neglect or designed by made away with one pair of boots and one shirt part of his Regimental necessaries.

Finding and Sentence

Finding – guilty of both charges

Sentence – to suffer an imprisonment with Hard Labour for a period of 30 days and to be placed under stoppages until the cost of replacing the articles found sufficient in the Second Charge be made good.
